Reiki can be defined as the art of "spiritually guided life force energy" facilitated through the hands.

The ability to channel universal healing through the human hands has been documented as far back as 2,500 years ago. In ancient Tibet the Buddhist monks were practicing these techniques which accelerated their spiritual development and healed their physical, mental and emotional bodies in the process.

In the late 1800’s a Japanese man named Dr Mikao Usui refined a healing art called Reiki to use this knowledge to enable everyday people to be able to access the same ability without hours of meditative practice. In the west today we are lucky enough to be able to learn these techniques in simple workshops that allow the knowledge to be easily understood, practiced and integrated.

Reiki workshop participants do not need any prior knowledge as the format is easily understood and facilitated in relaxed small groups to allow for individual attention.
